I certainly agree with the commentator in the clip about some worship leaders having a tendency to judge their 'performances' on a scale of 1-10 in moving their congregations into 'other-worldly' experiences. (or congregations demanding it of worship leaders!) Thankfully this has not been my experience of late (you can read that any way you like)! The video clip's commentator made some very good points.
I wonder too - are we afraid of silence? Where is the 'be still and know that I am God'? There seems to be a constant need to somehow fill the contemplative silence with noise. (Says he who almost constantly has classical music playing while at his work station!)
Activity on the blog has certainly hotted up since the invite to other contributors ey? Ah where are the good old days when it was all under control with the occasional in-depth piece by the pasta. Sigh! :->
